Michelle Webb Fandrich is a USPAP certified appraiser of quilts and quilted textiles, antique and modern textiles, historic costume and contemporary dress. She is an independent scholar and professional consultant with over ten years experience in the field of fine and decorative arts, having worked in both collection administration and curatorial capacities in museums throughout the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History (University of North Texas, 1997) and a Master of Arts degree in Visual Culture: Costume Studies (New York University, 2000).

Her experience includes curatorial and research work with the most important collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and the Department of Costume and Textiles at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Michelle has also taught costume and fashion history as well as costume for the stage at Los Angeles area colleges and universities. In addition to her teaching career, she has assisted in the development of several college and university fashion study collections.
